Sammy Sampson

Ludowici – Sammy Sampson, 73, passed away Monday, January 1, 2018 at Landmark Hospital in Savannah.  He was born and raised in Virginia and moved to Texas where he worked as a maintenance engineer for eighteen years.  He returned to VA, lived in Tennessee for several years and Georgia since 2013.  He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of Midway Baptist Church.  His wife, Mary Elizabeth Sampson preceded him in death.

Survivors are his daughter, Bobbie Jo Tyner of Waukegan, IL; two sons, Sammy Sampson, Jr. of Waco, TX and Johnny Sampson of Big Stone Gap, VA; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

No local services will be held.
