Obituary

Brunswick – William H. Rewis, 80, passed away Sunday, July 23, 2023, in Brunswick. Born in Cobbtown, he lived over 20 years in Utah, and in Brunswick for the last 7 years. A career military man, he retired with the rank of SFC after 23 years of service, including two tours in Viet Nam. In his retirement years, he enjoyed fishing and spending time outdoors. He was a Christian and a member of the American Legion. His wife, Doris Woods Rewis, preceded him in death.

Survivors are his sons, Scottie Rewis of Jacksonville, FL, Mike Rewis of Ludowici, and Steven Rewis of Swainsboro; sisters, Evermae, Gertrude, and Rowena, and a brother, Howard; 3 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Private services with military honors will be held at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glennville.
