Ludowici – Wayne Golden, 74, died Saturday, January 30, 2021 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Savannah. Born in Jesup, he lived in Long County most of his life. He was retired from ITT Rayonier as a pipefitter and was a farmer. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and being outdoors, was a member of Gum Branch Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wives, Laura Pollock Golden and Shirley Golden, son, Robert Wayne “Robbie” Golden, and grandson, Coltan Timothy Neal.
Survivors are his daughters, Shanna Golden and Katy Rhodes of Ludowici; sisters, Nancy DeLoach and Letha Chase of Ludowici, Lil Strickland of Starke, FL, and Cheryl Rawlings of Richmond Hill; three grandchildren, Taryn Rhodes, Cayden Neal, and Tessa Rhodes; faithful K9 companion T-Bone, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Tuesday evening, February 2 at 7 PM at Gum Branch Baptist Church with Bro. Kevin Johnson officiating.
Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.
Private burial will be in the Gum Branch Baptist Church Cemetery.
