Warren Reddish

Jesup - Warren Glenn Reddish, 96, of Jesup, Georgia, passed away on July 22, 2025, under the care of Hospice of South Georgia and At Home Senior Living. Born in St. Petersburg, Florida, he was the son of Wallace and Vada Reddish. He had been an employee of Wayneline and of Rayonier, from which he retired after more than thirty years as a woodyard foreman. After retiring, he served as a Wayne Memorial Hospital Auxiliary volunteer for many years. He attended First Baptist Church of Jesup, where he was a deacon emeritus, a member of the Golden Rulers Sunday School class, and at the time of his death was the oldest living member of the church. He and his late wife of seventy years, Juanita Reddish, enjoyed fishing, camping, and traveling through all fifty states. He was a “Mr. Fix-It,” who thought he could repair anything using baling wire, duct tape, or WD-40. 

In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his two sisters, Theda Bowen and Doris Thornton, and one grandson, Matthew Reddish.  He is survived by three sons and one daughter—Alan Reddish (Carol) of Athens; Mitchell Reddish (Barbara) of DeLand, Florida; Steve Reddish (Paula) of Jesup; and Lanita Horne of Jesup—and eight grandchildren—Karen Jackson (Russ), Lindsay Rogers (Luke), Timothy Reddish (Naomi), Beth Wright (Art), Michael Reddish (Sarah), April Key (Jeremy), Justin Bettner, and Jennifer Bettner. His thirteen great-grandchildren include Lucy Kate, Andie, Mabry, and Ruthie Jackson; Caroline and Matthew Rogers; Julian and Adrian Wright; Adah and Cora Reddish; and Tucker, Cooper, and Grayson Bettner. Another great-grandchild is expected this week. 

The funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church of Jesup at 11:00 a.m. on July  24, with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. The family will remain at the church after the service to greet family and friends. Interment will be at a private ceremony at Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers are Justin Bettner, Tucker Bettner, Russ Jackson, Tim Reddish, Gary Bowen, and Mark Thornton. Honorary pallbearers are the Golden Rulers Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church and Tommy Dent. Howard Funeral Home of Ludowici is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the building fund at First Baptist Church, Jesup, or to Hospice of South Georgia.
