Richmond Hill – Wanda Gordon Denmark, 67, passed away Wednesday in Savannah. She was born in Ludowici and lived most of her life in Savannah, eventually settling in Richmond Hill. She graduated from Georgia Baptist College of Nursing in 1972 and went on to a thirty-five-year career as a registered nurse, working mostly at Memorial and St. Joseph’s hospitals in Savannah. She was a loving wife, mother and sister and member of Savannah Baptist Temple. She was preceded in death by her parents, A. C. and Mildred Gore Gordon and siblings, Larry, Lanny and Marsha.
Survivors are her husband, Ron Denmark; daughter, Marie Denmark; son, Ronald Denmark, Jr., all of Richmond Hill; sister, Michelle Morris; brother, Lyle Gordon, both of Ludowici; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family funeral service will be held Friday, March 20 at 11 AM in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Roe Porter officiating.
Private burial will follow in the Georgia Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Glennville.
