Ludowici – Vera M. Livingston, 84, died Monday, October 18, 2021, under the care of her family and GHC Hospice. Born in Collins, she lived in Long County most of her life. She was a homemaker and had worked in food service and retail sales all of her life. She enjoyed fishing and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a member of Ludowici First Baptist Church and preceded in death by her husbands, Merrill Chapman and Keith Livingston, children, Beth Chapman Durst and Little Bill Chapman, great-grandson, Jeremiah Smith, brothers, Larry Fowler and Sammie Stapleton, nephews, Dennis and Jerry Stapleton, and son-in-law, Frank McClelland, Jr.
Survivors are her daughter, Cindy McClelland of Ludowici; sons and daughter-in-law, Karry and Pat Chapman of Glennville and Weyman Chapman, Sr., of Ludowici; sister, Ruby Wyrosdick of Archer, FL; sixteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, October 21 at 11 AM at Jones Creek Baptist Church, in conjunction with the funeral for her daughter, Beth.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 20, from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
