Tonya Wells

Ludowici – Tonya Joleine Wells, 38, died Monday, July 19, 2021, at her home under the care of her family and GHC Hospice.  She grew up in Long County and lived in Wayne County many years before returning to Long County several months ago.  Tonya worked as a paraprofessional at Coastal Academy in Hinesville for many years. She was a loving mother, daughter, and friend, who was devoted to her children.  She attended Calvary Baptist Church in Ludowici and was preceded in death by her father, Stanley Wells, Sr.

Survivors are her daughter, Abbrie Wells of Jesup; sons, Dylan Spoon and Austin Spoon of Jesup; mother, Joeann Allen of Ludowici; sisters and brother-in-law, JoAnna and Brian Bray of Hughesville, MD, and Norma Shepherd of Midway; brother, Stanley Wells, II, of Ludowici; best friend, Crystal Vaughn of Richmond Hill; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 21 at 2 PM at Calvary Baptist Church in Ludowici with Bro. Brian Smith officiating.  Burial will follow in Baggs Cemetery.

Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.

Active pallbearers will be Jeffery Hall, Jesse Lawson, David Hall, Kelly Harrell, Leslie Tyre, and Lee Tyre.
