Timothy Walton

Hinesville – Timothy Lee Walton, 56, passed away Sunday, September 11, 2022, at his home.  Born in Danville, VA, he lived most of his life in VA and NC before moving to Long County six years ago.  He held a bachelor’s degree and worked most of his career in retail grocery management, most recently with Publix in Savannah and the commissary on Ft. Stewart, before failing health forced his retirement.  He enjoyed sports, especially basketball, and being outdoors playing golf, but mostly he treasured time spent with his family.  He was a member of Spring of Water Family Christian Center in Dunn, NC, and was preceded in death by his parents, George, Sr. and Frances Walton. 

Survivors are his wife, Shelia Walton of Hinesville; daughters, Teena Rowan (Andrew) and Trinity Walton of Hinesville; son, Gregory Harvey of Fayetteville, NC; sister, Priscilla Womack (Thomas) of New Kent, VA; brother, George Walton, Jr. of Dry Fork, VA; grandson, Gabriel Masch of Hinesville.

Services will be held in Virginia.
