Susan (Dent) Blakey

Albany –  Laura Susan Dent Blakey, 77, died Thursday, November 19, 2020 at her home under the care of her family and Integrity Hospice.  She was born in Albany and had lived in Glennville for twenty-five years, returning in 2015.  She had worked with her father in the beauty supply business, for Phenix Beauty Supply, and as a floral designer. She was a homemaker as well and a member of First Baptist Church in Albany.  She was preceded in death by her parents, W. L and Nancy Anderson Dent.

Survivors are her husband of fifty-nine years, Lamar Blakey and her son, Way Blakey, Jr., of Albany.  Numerous cousins also survive.

Graveside services will be Saturday, November 21 at 2 PM in the Ebenezer Church Cemetery in Glennville.
