Sue McFann Obituary

Ludowici – Elinor Sue McFann, 78, died Monday, October 26, 2020 at her home under the care of her family and GHC Hospice.  Born in Long County, she had lived in Liberty and Long Counties most of her life.  She was formerly a secretary for the Ft. Stewart school system and a caseworker for Liberty County DFCS but found her true calling as an interior designer where she worked for twenty-five years.  Sue was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.  She was a member of Gum Branch Baptist Church, the Sr. Adult Sunday School class, and a former Sunday School teacher.  Her sister, Paulette Pastor preceded her in death.

Survivors are her husband of sixty years, Lee McFann of Ludowici; daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Kenny Long of Ludowici; son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Lisa McFann of Ludowici; brother and sister-in-law, Paul Sidney and Patti Fulton of Waycross; grandchildren, Clay (Tina) Long, Kelly (Cale) Simmons, and Cori (Kevin) Levesque; great-grandchildren, Lexi, Hali, Rhet, Layton, and Colin; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 28 at 11 AM at Gum Branch Baptist Church with Rev. Gabe Gill officiating. 

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.

Active pallbearers will be Clay Long, Cale Simmons, Kevin Levesque, Marty Adams, Steve Coleman, Steve Welborn, Rhet Long, Layton McFann, and Colin Levesque.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Sr. Adult Sunday School class.
