Shelly J. (Hewitt) Rowe

Townsend - Shelly J. Rowe, 65, passed away Thursday, October 1, 2020.  Born in Michigan, she lived most of her life in McIntosh County.  She worked as a retail salesclerk until poor health forced her retirement.  In retirement she enjoyed online shopping, antiquing, and Barbie Doll collecting.  She attended Eulonia Church of God of Prophecy and was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne "Duce" Rowe and son, Jerry Rowe.

Survivors are her sons, David Harper, Jr. of Brunswick and Alfred Rowe of Townsend; daughter and son-in-law, Missy and Gregg Amerson of Darien; mother, Oral Hewitt of Hartsville, AL; sister and brother-in-law, Nadine and Scott Vian of Mansfield, OH; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerry Hewitt of Townsend, Mike and Julie Hewitt of Hartsville, AL and Cliff and Missy Hewitt of Mansfield, OH; sisters-in-law, Pearl "Sis" Young and Earline Rowe of Townsend and Mary Jane Poppell of Ludowici; nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Wednesday, October 7 at 6 PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Danny Stilwell officiating.

Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.

Burial will be private.
