Shellman Bluff – Sharon McDonald, 68, passed away Friday, August 25, 2023, at her home. Born in Ft. Bragg, NC, she lived in McIntosh County most of her life. During her working years, Sharon was a waitress at The Buccaneer Club, and had worked at Midway Pools and Lockwood Marine. She enjoyed time spent with family, drinking coffee, playing games, and making vinyl graphics. She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Louise Nettles, a sister, Amanda Lyon, and a brother, Thomas Nettles.
Survivors are her companion and best friend, Ken Doran of Shellman Bluff; daughter, Patty Audette of Shellman Bluff; son, James (Shirley) White of Brunswick; sisters, Vanessa Kellum of Swainsboro and Maggie Lawton of Shellman Bluff; brothers, Joey Nettles and Steven Nettles of Shellman Bluff; granddaughter, Tiffany Audette, great-granddaughter, Jerrika Jewell; several nieces and nephews, and her faithful K9 companion, Ruby.
Graveside services will be Monday, August 28 at 6:30 PM in the Morgans Chapel Cemetery.
