Sharon Elizabeth Griffin Brandies, 73, of Kingsland, GA passed away Monday, April 27 in Jacksonville, Florida. She was born March 9, 1953 in Fayetteville, NC to the late Mathie James Griffin and Marjorie Elizabeth Luke Griffin. She retired in 2024 from the McIntosh County Sheriffs Office with nearly 30 years as a 911 Dispatch Operator.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son: Brian McCall and a brother: Joseph James Griffin.
She is survived by her children: Melissa Ann Phelps (Matthew), Jennifer Lee Thornton, Christopher Mark Thigpen; her sisters: Linda Ann Stallings, Carolyn S. Perry, Jacquelyn Diane Griffin; her brother: Raymond Matthew Griffin (Barbara); 4-grandchildren: Ciara Elizabeth Hord, Lucien Emanuel Trefethen, Logan Oren Trefethen, Trajan Scott Thigpen; 2-great grandchildren: Benton Thomas Hord, Allie Elizabeth Hord and a number of nieces and nephews and other relatives.
The family will receive friends Sunday, May 3 at Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home - Camden Chapel, 935 East King Avenue, Kingsland, GA from 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM.
