Sandy (Mueller) Anderson

Sandra “Sandy” Lee Anderson, 77, of Durand, WI lost her courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at Advent Health in Durand, WI.  In the weeks before her passing, she was constantly surrounded by her loving family, friends, classmates, and the most amazing caregiver team.  Sandy was born on November 17, 1946, in Two Rivers, WI to Clarence and Bernice (Lenhart) Mueller.  She graduated from Durand High School and attended UW-River Falls where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology.  In 1968, Sandy married Raymond Morris and lived in Georgia.  While in Georgia, Sandy worked as the 4H Program Assistant for many years. She later moved back to Durand where she married Donald Anderson on August 28, 1982.  Sandy was co-owner of D&S Plumbing (with her husband Don) and managed the bookkeeping for the business.  She also joined Bauer Brothers Motors in Durand as a bookkeeper in 1992 and worked there until her retirement in 2009.  She was a very active member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and enjoyed playing organ for many years.  She was a member of Ladies Aid and taught Sunday school.  She also helped with many other church programs involving the children and always hoped her music touched children’s hearts.  Sandy was also involved in the Durand community and was a DIG member.  Her hobbies included music, cooking, canning, quilting, bowling, and traveling (especially with her friends to Branson, MO).  She loved spending time with her family - especially her grandsons, friends, and beloved cats Angel, Lilly, and Mulligan. She also loved watching the Brewers and rarely missed a game.  Sandy was a very kind, caring, and giving person who touched the lives of many people and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her son, Tony (Niccole) Morris of Durand, WI; stepdaughter, Melissa (Paul) Anderson-Seeber of Hudson, IA; two grandsons, Andrew and Evan Morris; brother, Jerry (Freda) Mueller of Bloomington, MN; nieces Brenda (Owen) Duncan, Shellae Mueller, and Krista (Steve) Karger; and great-niece Abby Karger.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Anderson; parents, Clarence and Bernice (Lenhart) Mueller; stepson, Arni Anderson; infant granddaughter, Angela Rae Morris.
