Shellman Bluff – Sandra Goodrich Wallace, 73 years old of Cannon Bluff died at home on September 7, 2022.
Sandra was born in Southington, CT June 5, 1949, and was reared in McIntosh County. She graduated with honors from Darien High School in 1967. Sandra was a pediatric nurse and was employed at Southeast Georgia Health System for 25 years. She was very active in Morgan’s Chapel as a Sunday School teacher and sang in the choir.
She was preceded in death by her parents Fernley & Janet Goodrich. Her husband of 50 years Charles (Shorty) Wallace. She is survived by her two daughters, Sonya Wallace Lumley & Georgia Wallace Nessmith both of Cannon Bluff. 3 grandchildren, Kayla Lumley of Jesup, Shelby (Rob) Rempel, and Andrew (Ashley) Nessmith both of Statesboro. four great-grandchildren Paisleigh & Connor Reed, Kylie Rempel, and Addie Edwards, 5 siblings, Sybil Wooten of Savannah, Dennis (Bootie) Goodrich of Eulonia, Shelly (Johnny) Skipper of Kingsland, Thomas (Vicki) Goodrich of Brunswick, Mark (Annette) Goodrich of Richmond Hill and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Saturday, September 10, at 11:00 AM at Morgan’s Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Melissa Traver and Rev. Larry Stricklin officiating.
Visitation will be Friday, September 9 from 5 PM – Until at Morgan’s Chapel United Methodist Church.
Active pallbearers will be Andrew Nessmith, Alfred Wallace, Brandon Scarbary, Will Wallace, Aaron Wallace, Jodee Middleton, Raymond Soto, and Rob Rempel.
