Ruth (Rozier) Heath

91, passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at the Hospice of South Georgia IPU in Jesup.  She was born in Townsend and lived most of her life in McIntosh County.  She was a former business owner, cared for many children in her home daycare, and was a caretaker. She attended Darien Church of God.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, friend, and neighbor, always willing to help anyone when they were in need; she loved everyone. Her strong will to live was unmatched, and her beautiful, long life was a testimony to that. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenny Heath; daughter, Rita Jean Martin; son, Rusty Frank Clark; and siblings, Nita, A.Z., Emory, Clay, and Ellis “Geech”.

Survivors are her grandchildren, Rusty S. Clark of Townsend, Roxane McKinzie (James) of Townsend, Angel Monroe (Terry) of Denver, CO, Mahalie Clark of Edwards AFB, CA, and Morgan Clark of Darien; 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her best friend Mary “Eloise” Howard. She carried her love for her daughter, Yvonne Clark, in her heart until the end.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, March 15, at 3 PM at Darien Church of God, with Pastor Tommy Whaley officiating.  Visitation will be one hour prior.

Burial will follow in Plum Orchard Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Buddy Toups, Dee Rozier, James McKinzie, Daniel Ryals, Jeffrey Neesmith, Ricky Toups, and Brian Vickers.
