Ronald Medlock

Townsend – Ronald Albert Medlock, Jr., 68, passed away Thursday, April 24, 2025, in Brunswick.  Born in Albany, he grew up in Brunswick and lived most of his life in McIntosh County.  He was a retired dredge engineer with Southern Dredging and was a muscle car mechanic.  Ronald had an outgoing personality and never met a stranger.  He was a Southern Baptist by faith and was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald A. Medlock, Sr. (Opa), and Barbara Elder, brothers, Tony and Terry Medlock, and son-in-law, Courson Saunds.

Survivors are his wife, Eva Caldwell Medlock; daughters, Amanda Waters (Phillip), Jessica Saunds, and Kayla Poppell (Josh); sons, John Albert Medlock. Michael Medlock (Stormy), all of Townsend, and Jason Simmons (Crystal) of Darien; mother, Geneva Medlock of Dunnellon, FL; sisters, Lisa Schneider (Eric) of Tallahassee, FL and Kathy Hannah (Calvin) of Louisiana; brother, Eric Carroll (Brooke) of Tampa, FL; grandchildren, Bentley, Peyton, Gaje, Jacob, Madison, London, Paisley, Georja, Elijah, Marley, Gavin, John Luke, Thera, and Hinley; several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, May 3, at 2:00 PM at the Sapelo Saltwater Fishing Club at Shellman Bluff, off of Old Shellman Bluff Road.
