Ronald Davis Obituary

Ludowici – Ronald Andrew Davis, 74, died Thursday, July 29, 2021, at his home under the care of his family and Hospice of South Georgia.  Born in Jacksonville, FL, he lived in McIntosh County twenty-two years before recently moving to Long County.  He was a retired grocery store manager having worked for several stores during his career.  In 2001, he purchased a bread business before completely retiring.  He was a US Army veteran and a loving husband, father, and grandfather.  He enjoyed fishing and gardening and was a member of Townsend Baptist Church.

Survivors are his wife, Janis Davis of Ludowici; sons and daughters-in-law, Andy and Tabitha Davis of Jonesboro, AR, Phil and Jenny Davis of Tigard, OR, Nick and Amanda Davis and Kaydyn Davis, of Ludowici; step-daughters, Angela Meyer and husband, Ralph of Hagerstown, MD, and Tiffany Bowling of Dalton; sisters, Sharon Fisher of Jacksonville, FL, Cheryl Henderson of Englewood, FL, and Esther Wilson of Marysville, MI; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jeff and Onya Davis of Bloomfield, NJ, Mark and Jenny Davis and  Joel Davis of Jacksonville, FL; 8 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Monday, August 2 at 1:30 PM at the funeral home chapel with Rev. Terry Sellars officiating.

Visitation will be one hour prior to services in the chapel.

Burial with military honors will follow in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glennville.
