Revis Boyd

Ludowici – Lendell Revis Boyd, 79, passed away Sunday, February 9, 2025, at his home under the care of his family and GHC Hospice.  He was born in Tattnall County and lived in Long County since 1986.  He was a former trooper with the Georgia State Patrol, an officer with DOD at Ft. Stewart, a deputy for Liberty County Sheriff’s Department, and a truck driver.  He proudly served his country first in the Air Force and then as a Marine.  He enjoyed the outdoors and hunting.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Catherine Boyd, and a brother, Raneldo Boyd.

Survivors are his wife of 39 years, Beth Howard Boyd of Ludowici; sons, Jared Anderson (Vera) of Gum Branch, Joel Anderson (Lauren) of Jesup, Seth Anderson (Emily) of Odum, and Kevin Boyd (Mistie) of Raleigh, NC; sisters, Melba Boatright of Claxton and Andrea Boyd of Lyons; brother, Ranellis Boyd (Sharon) of Gainesville; sister-in-law, George Ann Boyd of Reidsville; grandchildren, Keith (Joanne), Kaitlyn (Melvin), David, Kendall, Ainsley, Liz, Landon, Jackson, and Harris; great-grandchildren, Emory, Brent, Eli, MJ, and Kai; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 12 beginning at 5 PM at Howard Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be at First Baptist Ludowici on Thursday, February 13 at 11 AM with Rev. Paul Weldon officiating.

Private burial will be in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glenville.

Active pallbearers will be David Boatright, Steven Boatright, Keith Anderson, David Anderson, Kendall Anderson, Landon Anderson, Logan Graham, and Melvin Neeley.
