R. L. Dawson

Ludowici – Ralph Lane “R. L.” Dawson, II, 62, died Thursday, October 14, 2021, at his residence.  Born in Claxton, he grew up in Long County where he lived most of his life.  He was retired as a certified Asbestos Removal Supervisor having worked for many years at Rayonier before working with Macaljon of Richmond Hill.  He was known as a hard-working man who was dedicated to his family.  An outdoorsman, his favorite times with family were spent living at Morgan Lake.  He was preceded in death by his parents. Howell Dawson and Linda Strickland Mason, and brothers, Randy Dawson and Thomas Dawson.

Survivors are his wife, Yvonda Rozier Dawson of Ludowici; sons and daughter-in-law, Randy McMillan, Jr. of Statesboro and Greg and Jessica Dawson of Ludowici; grandchildren, Riley, Eric, and Conner; sister and brother-in-law, Laura and Jake McLane of Glennville; brother and sister-in-law, Buster and Sherry Dawson of Ludowici; several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services are being held by the family.
