Allenhurst – Phillip Wayne Murry, 49, died Wednesday, June 23, 2021, in Hinesville.
Born in Colorado, he lived there all of his life until moving to Allenhurst three years ago and had worked as a driller on oil rigs until becoming disabled. Even through his illness and disabilities, he remained a man of faith with a deep love for his family, looking out for his mother as long as he was able. He maintained a bright presence wherever he was and always lit up the room with his personality and outlook. Phillip was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Rangely, CO, and attended Trinity Baptist Church in Long County when able. He was preceded in death by his father, Willis Murry.
Survivors are his mother, Carol Jensen of Allenhurst; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sabrina and Glenn Schuller of Allenhurst and Leslie and Hondo Blakely of Katy, TX; brothers and sisters-in-law, James, Jr. and Cindy Wall of Craig, CO and Michael and Mallory Wall of Idaho; several nieces and nephews.
