Darien – Pauline Ellen Jacobs, 86, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, under the care of her family and Golden Isles Hospice. She was a native and lifelong resident of McIntosh County who worked as a hotel housekeeping supervisor and was a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening and working in her yard, crocheting, cooking for her family, and spending time with them. She was a Pentecostal and was preceded in death by her parents, Nathan and Alice Young Rowe, siblings, Louise Hiney, Lorise Davis, Erma Lee Rowe, Margaret Owens, and Nathan Rowe, Jr.
Survivors are her daughters, Jean Ryals of Townsend, Julie Vickers (Brian, Sr.) of Darien, and Diane Rozier (Phyllis Walker) of Middleburg, FL. Son, Joey Rozier of Darien; grandchildren, Kevin Ryals (Brandy), Rena Ryals, Paige Middleton (Jodee), Nathan Vickers, and Brian Vickers, Jr. (Annie); several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be on Friday, March 13, from 5-7 PM at Howard Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be Saturday, March 14, at 3 PM at Ebenezer Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Clay Rowe, Richard Lattie, Donnie Howard, Bruce Davis, Cooper Davis, and Michael Howard.
Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of Golden Isles Hospice.
