Patsy M (Gordon) Skipper

Ludowici- 

Ludowici – Our beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, Patsy Skipper, passed away at home surrounded by her children on June 2, 2026, at the age of 78 years old.  She was under the care of the dedicated and compassionate team of Georgia Hospice Care.

Patsy was the soul of her family- the secret keeper to many.  Her kitchen was always filled with the sweet smell of cake and warm biscuits.  If you didn’t find her on her porch rocking, you could find her behind her sewing machine making beautiful quilts.

She adored her children and grandchildren and was always ready to give advice and a hug or her famous “you have got to be kidding me” when needed.

Patsy’s nurturing spirit will forever live in the hearts of her family, and when we see the moon, we will see her.  When we think of Sundays, we will think of her.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Thomas E. Skipper, Sr.; her mother and best friend, Maebell Gordon; and her father, Hubert “Hubby” Gordon.

She is survived by her children, Tom Skipper (Leslie), Andy Fowler (Emily), Vanessa Horne (Jimmy), Melissa Holtz (Shennen), Jerri McGowan (Ron), 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, with two more on the way, and many others who knew her as “Grandma Patsy”.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 6, at Calvary Baptist Church of Ludowici, GA, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., with funeral services to immediately follow.  Interment at Concord Cemetery.

Active pallbearers are her grandsons, Dustin Skipper, Cody McGowan, Matthew Holtz, Nathan Fowler, Dylan Fowler, and Bubba Parker.  Honorary pallbearers are her grandsons-in-law.
