Ludowici- Mildred Collins, 81, passed away Monday, August 25, 2025, at her home. Born in Memphis, she lived in Florida for twenty years and finally made Georgia her home the past thirty years. She was a journalist and a computer programmer until she ultimately became a homemaker, which she absolutely loved the most. She enjoyed playing dominoes, word games, and card games with her children and grandchildren. She even taught her grands and great-grands American Sign language. She was preceded in death by six of her siblings.
Survivors are her husband of 50 years, Jimmy Collins; daughter and son-in-law, Anne Brozoway (Mike) of Baxley; son and daughter-in-law, Howard Teppenpaw (Lisa) of Jesup; grandchildren, Christy Teppenpaw of Atlanta, Cheyenne Bryant of Baxley, Tracy Bryant of North Carolina, Talmadge Hires (Ashley) and Jason Teppenpaw (Amanda) both of Jesup, Stephen Teppenpaw (Audrey) of Ludowici; 15 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Gracie Davis (Mike) of Jacksonville, FL, and Mary Curtwright of Bartlett, TN; and four nieces, Angela Ruger (Patrick) of Milton, FL, Amy l’Heureux (Joe) of Jacksonville, FL, Anita Smart (Richard) of Lawtey, FL, and Michelle Richardson (Joey) of Fayetteville, NC.
There will be no services at this time. In lieu of flowers or plants, memorial contributions can be made to the family.
