Michael Allen Harlow

Michael Allen Harlow, 66, passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Savannah, GA. He was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and was a long-time resident of Townsend in McIntosh County. He was a retired member of the US Army - which brought him to Fort Stewart, GA - where he met his future wife, Faye. He was a retired truck driver, and - in later years - he was the owner/operator of Dusty’s Truck Line.

Mike loved life, had a quick wit, and had a great sense of humor. He was an expert of telling jokes, and loved to tell them to make people laugh. He loved traveling, photography, woodworking, and loved collecting American Eagles. He also loved spending time with his family.

But - his true love was his devoted wife, Faye, who was his sweetheart for 42 years. Married in 1983, they created a life together - a good life - with high highs and at times - the lowest of lows. Yet - through it all - they weathered every storm of life together.

Mike loved his Lord, and was a member of the Townsend Church of God. His faith in God gave him great strength throughout his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents Roger and Lois Harlow of Orlando, Florida; father-in-law and mother-in-law Sidney and Minnie Rowe.

Survivors include his loving wife, Faye Harlow of Townsend; his Sister-in-Law, Katie Warren of Townsend; his brothers-in-Laws Keith Rowe (Teresa) of Hilliard, FL; Billy Rowe (Jackie) and Stacy Rowe, all of Townsend; and several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.

Funeral services will be Saturday, April 20, 2024 - at 11:00 am at the Townsend Church of God, 1231 Church of God Road NW, Townsend, GA - with Reverend Bruce Miller and Reverend Danny Stillwell officiating.

Burial will be at the Davis Cemetery in McIntosh County, on the Jones Highway - with military honors. Visitation will be at 10:00 am at the church - one hour before the service.

Active pallbearers will be Billy Rowe, Keith Rowe, Paul-Michael Warren, Jonathan Warren, Brandon Rowe, and Scott Rozier.

Honorary pallbearers will be trucking friends David Holmes ( Sparky),
Jonnie Strickland ( Sarge), Dwayne Ryals, Doyle Ryals, Mark Downs, and the Men of the Townsend Church of God.
