Melissa (Worsham) Maulden

Ludowici – Melissa Ann Maulden, 63, passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2023, in Savannah.  Born in Warner Robins, she lived in Long County most of her life.  She received her master’s degree and was a licensed therapist, working the past 15 years with Darsey, Black, and Associates in Hinesville.  She enjoyed gardening, drinking coffee, and spending time with her family, particularly her grandchildren.  She attended A New Beginning Church when able and was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell “Sugar” Maulden, Sr., and a brother, Michael Worsham.

Survivors are her daughters, Stacie Rhoden of Ludowici; sons, Jason Allen (Vicky) of Glennville and Darrell Maulden, Jr. (Amber Dasher) of Ludowici; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Anita Maulden Edmondson, and Jeff of Ludowici; 14 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 4 from 6-8 PM at Howard Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be Thursday, October 5 at 11 AM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Tom Gardner officiating.  Burial will follow in Baggs Cemetery.
