Ludowici – Maxine Helen Bishop, 90, passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2026, under the care of her family and Heartland Hospice. Born in Wisconsin, she lived in Clinton, IA for over 50 years before recently moving to Georgia. She was a veteran of the US Air Force and a homemaker. She was devoted to her family and pets and enjoyed knitting, sewing, and crocheting. A Catholic by faith, she was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, David Bishop, Jr., and a sister, Joyce Tonkin.
Survivors are her daughters, Barbetta S. Bishop-Reddy (Charles) of Clinton, IA, and Karen L. Scott (Daniel) of Glennville; son, David E. Bishop, III of Clinton, IA; sister, Shirley Gritzmacher of Milwaukee, WI; 4 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Celebration of Life services will be held at a later date.
The family will assemble at the home of Maggie Spell, 1040 Elim Church Road, NE, Ludowici.
