Mary (Marshall) Young

Savannah – Mary J. Young, 78, passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at Buckingham South in Savannah.  Born in Sturgis, KY, she lived in various places during her husband’s military career, retiring at Ft. Stewart.  She moved in 1990 to Atlanta and lived in Cincinnati until returning to Georgia in the mid-2000s.  A person to be out doing things, she loved to explore cities, shop, sing, and was active in Choir.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Russell Young.

Survivors are her daughter, Emily Young of Savannah; sons, Christopher Marshall of FL and Shawn Young (Kim) of Ludowici; grandchildren, Christian Marshall, Cody Young, Sukhi Young, Kyle Young, Eli Young, and Obie Young.

Committal services will be held on Thursday, December 26, 2024, at 1 p.m., at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glennville.
