Mark Randall Purcell

Ludowici – Mark Randall Purcell, 59, of Hinesville, Georgia, passed away on the morning of November 24, 2025.  Born on March 31, 1966, Mark lived a life full of warmth, generosity, and unwavering positivity.  To know him was to love him.

Mark is survived by his father, Larry Purcell; his brother, Timmy Purcell; his sister Teresa Purcell-Hodo; his children, Arron Purcell and Jamie Branis; his fiancée, Terasa Pearl, who was his best friend; and her two children, Maverick James and Colton John, whom he loved as his own.  He is preceded in death by his mother, Lethia Spivey, and his older brother, Larry Purcell, Jr.

Mark worked with Taylor’s Creek Construction, where he became not just an employee but family.  As the maintenance man for the mobile home park, he was truly the heart of the community – dependable, hardworking, and endlessly thoughtful.  Whether fixing a problem, sharing a laugh, or checking in on someone who needed it, Mark made everyday life better for the people around him.

He enjoyed time with the boys, and he could often be found fishing by the pond, a place that brought him peace and joy.  He was known as a loyal friend, a dedicated worker, and someone who would drop everything to help anyone who needed him.

Honorary pallbearers will be the team from Taylor’s Creek Construction and Tim Gasper, who each held a special place in Mark’s life.

A celebration of Mark’s life will be held at Howard Funeral Home in Ludowici, GA, on Monday, December 1, 2025, at 11:00 a.m.  All who knew and loved him are welcome to attend.

Though he is no longer with us, Mark is in heaven now, smiling down on the people he loved so fiercely.  His kindness, spirit, and laughter will be forever remembered and deeply missed.
