Hinesville – Margaret Louise O'Neal Campbell, 85, passed away on November 13, 2025. She was born in Wayne County, GA, on September 6, 1940, to Andrew Jackson O'Neal and Minnie Hill O'Neal. She married Glen Campbell of Hortense, GA (NOT the singer!), and they built a loving life together. They were residents of Jesup, GA, for the early years of their lives. They then resided in Hinesville, GA, before moving to Hortense, GA, for their later years.
She worked in the family business as a bookkeeper most of her adult life. She was an avid reader, a great cook, and fiercely loved her family. She was a friend to all and was always there whenever someone needed help. She was a willing and devoted caregiver to many, always there for her loved ones. She so loved her children and grandchildren and took time to be with them whenever she could. She was a member of Twin Rivers Baptist Church in Hortense, GA, and lived as a humble child of God.
Margaret was welcomed into Heaven by her parents, husband, 4 sisters, and a half-brother. She is survived by her two children, Glenda DeAnn McNair and Charles Ernest "Jimps" Campbell (Daphanie), seven grandchildren: Jared Judson McNair (Kayla), Madison Campbell LePain (William), Erin "Watermelon" Campbell Sillars (David), Justin Reid McNair, Benjamin Alexander Campbell, Rebekah Grace Campbell, Laurel Elspeth "Poppy" Campbell and two great-grandchildren: Melian Elyse LePain and Alice Juliet Sillars.
Active Pallbearers: James McNair, William LePain, Jared McNair, David Sillars, Justin McNair, Benjamin Campbell
