Lyle Gordon

Ludowici – Dewey Lyle Gordon, 66, died Saturday, January 1, 2022, at his home under the care of his family and GHC Hospice.  Born in Jesup, he lived in Long County most of his life where he graduated from Long County High School.  After graduation Lyle entered the US Army serving numerous years and attaining the rank of E7.  After his military service, he worked several jobs, mostly as a commercial fisherman.  He was preceded in death by his parents, A. C. and Mildred Gore Gordon, and siblings, Wanda, Marsha, Larry, and Lanny.

Survivors are his sons, Ryan McGahee of Dearing and DJ McGahee of Harlem; sister, Michelle Gordon Morris of Ludowici; grandchildren, Miriam, Drake, Robert, Hannah, Cody, and Harlie; great-granddaughter, Layla; special friends and caregivers, Possum Kelly, Kevin and Kelly Middleton and daughter, Elizabeth; friend and mother of his children, Brenda McGahee; several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services are being held by the family and close friends.
