Ludowici – Louise R. Padgett, 78, passed away Sunday, June 11, 2023, at Coastal Manor in Ludowici and under the care of her family and GHC Hospice. Born in Townsend, she lived in Long County most of her life. Louise was known as a hard worker and was previously employed at Waltrich Plastics for several years. She enjoyed arts and crafts, yard sales, cooking, and any time she could gather with her family. She was a born-again Christian and was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Padgett, parents, Joe and Alice Young Rozier, sister, Michaeline Reddish, brother, Buddy Rozier, brother-in-law, Freddie Williamson, and nephew, Cody Williamson.
Survivors are her daughter and son-in-law, Tammy Johnson and Neil of Ludowici; son and daughter-in-law, Archie Poppell, Jr. and Sheila of Ludowici; sister, Shirley Williamson of Ludowici; brother-in-law, Rusty Reddish of Jesup; grandchildren, Raine Johnson and Christopher Carter; great-grandchildren, Jackson and Izzy; special cousins, Elouise Howard and Elaine Joyner; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will begin at 10 AM Wednesday, June 14 at Howard Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at 11 AM at Baggs Cemetery.
(In the event of inclement weather, services will be held in the chapel.)
