Shellman Bluff – Louise Elizabeth Nettles, 88, departed this world to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 25, 2021, at SGHS in Brunswick. Born in Bluffton, SC, she lived in McIntosh County most of her life. She was a homemaker and had worked at Bland’s Store at Shellman Bluff where she prepared Louise’s famous fried chicken. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and Me-ma and was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Nettles, and children, Amanda Lyon, and Thomas Nettles.
Survivors are her daughters, Sharon McDonald and Maggie Lyon-Lawton of Shellman Bluff, and Vanessa Kellum of Swainsboro; sons, Joseph Nettles and Steven Nettles of Shellman Bluff; six grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 1 at 11 AM from Darien Church of God with Rev. Tommy Whaley officiating.
Burial will follow in Morgan’s Chapel Cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.
Pallbearers will be family.
