Lloyd Rowe

Townsend – Lloyd D. “Dank” Rowe, 80, passed away Friday, July 31, 2020 at his home under the care of his family and GHC Hospice.  He was born in Townsend where he lived most of his life.  He was a logger, enjoyed hunting and especially fishing.  He was a Christian and preceded in death by his daughter, Sarah Yawn, parents, Alfred and Annie Rowe, sister, Maggie Buie, and brothers, Carroll Rowe, Earl Rowe, Douglas Rowe, and Wayne “Duce” Rowe.

Survivors are his wife, Earline Rowe; sons, Fred Rowe (Rhonda) and Paul Rowe (Tracy) all of Townsend; sisters, Pearl Young of Townsend and Mary Jane Poppell of Ludowici; son-in-law, Derrell Yawn of Eastman; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Saturday, August 1 at 5 PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jody Griffin and Rev. Danny Stilwell officiating.

Visitation will be one hour prior to services in the chapel.

Burial will follow in the Rowe Family Cemetery in Townsend.

*Social distancing and wearing of masks is encouraged for visitation, funeral and graveside services.

Active pallbearers will be Daniel Rowe, Derek Rowe, Billy Rowe, Cole Rowe, Jack Rowe, and Jessie Rowe.

Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of GHC Hospice, David Parker, and Steve Rush.
