Lloyd Gaumer

Ludowici – Lloyd E. Gaumer, Jr., 80, passed away Saturday, September 9, 2023, under the care of his family and Hospice of South Georgia.  Born in Ohio, he lived several years in New Mexico, and in Long County the past 3 years.  During his working career, he was a former OH state trooper, a youth detention officer, a security guard, and was a USMC veteran of the Vietnam War.  An outdoorsman, he was an avid hunter and a longtime fan of classic country music.  He was a member of First Baptist Church of Mt. Vernon, OH.

Survivors are his daughters, Mindy Cardenas (Miguel) of Albuquerque, NM, and Krista Gaumer (Blake Colby) of Ludowici; son, Christopher Gaumer (Stephanie) of Prescott, AZ; 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held later.
