Ludowici – Linda K. Futch, 82, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2025, under the care of her family and GHC Hospice.  Born in Hinesville, she grew up there and lived most of her life in Long County.  She retired from Sapelo Island Post Office after 20 years of service and founded KIDZ, Etc. and the 5K for high school scholarships for Long and McIntosh Counties.  She was a member of Elim Baptist Church and attended Calvary Baptist Church in Ludowici.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Raleigh Tanner and Marguerite Ray.

Survivors are her daughters, Angie Heath (Sean) of Hinesville, Debbi Gaitten (Michael), Kelli Mock (Andy), Timmyra Horne, and Traci McGowan (Donald), of Ludowici; son, Codie Futch (Lynette) of Ludowici; grandchildren, Josh Campbell (Ashley), Brittany Bridwell (Travis), Brock Heath (Alexis), Bryson Heath (Maeghan), Maghan Fuller (JR), Marleigh Heath, Kayne Gaitten (Beth), Kaleb Gaitten (Victoria), Kylie Gaitten (Utah), T. J. Gaskin (Casey), Shelby Hunter (L. H.), Blake Colby (Krista), Ashley Geronimo, Alexis Snelling, Tanner Snelling (Jessica), Toot McGowan, Dustin McGowan (Jilly), Whitney McGowan (Trevor), Carlie, Cora, and C. J. Futch; great-grandchildren, Eli, Levi, Emma, Alli, Carter, Rigdon, Meritt, Raegan, Kennedy, Jaylin, Remmington, Braedon, Kinley, Dakota, Ashton, William, Grayson, Hudson, Lennox, Mallory, Teagan, Mazie, Kaden, Natalie, Averie, Anastia, John J., Tyler, Kirsten, Callie, Brooklyn, McKensey, Natalie, and Nathan.

Visitation: Beginning at 5 PM Monday, March 10 at Howard Funeral Home. 

Funeral: 10 AM Tuesday, March 11, at A New Beginning Church with Bro. Brian Smith, Rev. Justin Gordon, and Leonard Poole officiating.  Burial: Elim Baptist Church Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Josh Campbell, Kayne Gaitten, Kaleb Gaitten, T. J. Gaskin, L. H. Hunter, Blake Colby, Brock Heath, Bryson Heath, and Ricky Riveria.

Honorary pallbearers will be Robbie Gore, Tim Gore, Tom Gore, Lamar Gore, Bobby Smith, Harriett Smith, Linda DeLoach, Clifton DeLoach, Andy Fuller, and the Calvary Baptist Ladies Sunday School class.
