Leslie L. Deen

Ludowici – Leslie Leon Deen, 59, died Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at his home.  Born in Brunswick, he lived in Long County for the past 31 years.  He worked in construction and was a certified welder.  He was a lover of music and he enjoyed playing the drums, cooking and was a proud provider for his family.  In his younger days, he enjoyed dirt track racing, even building his own car with the help of his dad.  He was a member of First Baptist Ludowici and preceded in death by his wife, Rita Simmons Deen, and brother, Kenneth Michael Deen.

Survivors are his daughters and son-in-law, Kristen Deen of Douglas and Jennifer and Garrett Shelton of Hinesville; son, Tyler Deen of Ludowici; parents, Leon and Pat Deen of Ludowici; mother-in-law, Lillian Gordon Simmons of Ludowici; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Friday, January 28 at 11 AM from First Baptist Ludowici with David Simmons and Rev. Justin Gordon officiating.  Burial will follow in Concord Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 27, from 6-8 PM at the church.
