Lesley Darnell (Hendrix) Dawson

Townsend – Lesley Darnell Dawson, 52, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2020 in Brunswick.  Born in Statesboro, she had lived in McIntosh County most of her life.  She worked many jobs over the years, mostly as a clerk in retail sales.  She enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding in Jeeps and was a member of Youngs Island Community Church.

Survivors are her sons, Taylor Dawson of Brunswick and A. J. Poppell of Townsend; parents, Linda and Ed Rowe of Townsend and Carlton and Karen Hendrix of Darien; sisters and brothers-in-law, Tammy Rowe of Townsend, Debbie and Ronnie Shaw of St. Marys, and Shawna and Lanier Gore of Meridian; brothers and sisters-in-law, Scott and Sue Hendrix of Auburn, NY, Jay and Sharon Hendrix of Darien, George and Amber Rowe of Brunswick, and Patrick and Amber Rowe of Townsend; one grandson, Aaron Dawson of Brunswick; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 18 at 6 PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Danny Stilwell and Rev. Steve Rush officiating.

Visitation will be one hour prior to services in the chapel.
