Leonard Lamar Walter

Darien – Leonard Lamar Walter, 63, passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at Southeast GA Health System in Brunswick.  He was born in Jesup but lived in McIntosh his whole life.  He worked in construction before becoming a commercial fisherman.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Pauline Davis “sister” Walter, sister, Mary Nell Walter, and brother, Wesley Walter.

Survivors are his companion, Sherri Rice of Darien; sister, Patricia Walter of Crescent; brother and sister-in-law, Lynn and Lisa Walter of Darien; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Friday, January 31 from 1-2 PM at Howard Funeral Home Chapel.  A graveside service will follow at Davis Cemetery in Long County.
