Lena (Riggs) Howard

St. Simons Island - Lena Riggs Howard, 84, passed away Friday, March 31, 2023, in Brunswick.  Born in Manassas, she lived in many places while following her husband during his military career.  She returned to Southeast Georgia and lived on St. Simons Island the past 7 years.  In her earlier years, she worked for Tippins Bank in Claxton, Sears Customer Service in San Antonio, TX, and was a homemaker and avid gardener.  She was a Methodist and was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Howard, and brothers, Ruskin and Rudolph Riggs.

Survivors are her daughter, Lisa Howard of St. Simons Island; son and daughter-in-law, Kris Howard and Camesha of Oxford, MI; 4 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be Wednesday, April 5 at 1 PM in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in Evans County.
