74, passed away Saturday, June 8, 2024, at Hospice of South Georgia in Jesup.  He was born in Garwin, IA, and lived in Michigan most of his adult life until moving to Long County in 1998.  Due to being drafted by the U.S. Army, he could not finish his college degree.  He liked hunting, fishing, and mostly, being on the river.  He loved hanging out with his friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Ruth Stanerson Jessen; and brother, Stan Jessen.

Survivors are his son, Gabe Jessen; granddaughter, Taylor Hall; grandson, Cody Hall; great-grandchildren, Grayson McDowell and Kadence Hall all of Ludowici; sisters, Terry Goolsbee, Joann Bloom, and Gail Rendich all of Arizona.

Memorial services will be Thursday, June 13, at 4 pm at Howard Funeral Home Chapel.
