Savannah – Kenneth Lavon Green, born on August 4, 1947, in Spartanburg, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 5, 2025. Ken was the beloved son of Landrum Earl and Frances Rose Greene and grew up alongside three sisters and one brother. He proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Army. Known for his unique blend of kindness, humor, and seriousness, Ken was a caretaker at heart who never hesitated to help those in need.
A devoted father, Ken cherished his three children, Adrienne Suzanne Greene Buck, Ashley Scott Greene, and Andrew Stuart Greene. His love for his family was unwavering and brought him immense joy throughout his life. He also shared a special bond with his cat, Willow, who kept him on his toes with her lively antics.
Ken had a passion for music and was an accomplished drummer. He found relaxation and enjoyment in playing golf and watching Westerns. These hobbies reflected his vibrant personality and zest for life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Landrum and Frances Greene; his brother; and one of his sisters. Ken’s legacy of love and friendship will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
In accordance with Ken’s wishes, services will be private. May his memory bring comfort to those who loved him.
