Allenhurst – Karoline W. Davis, 69, died Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Candler Hospital in Savannah. Born in Waco, TX, she traveled the world along with her parents while her father served in the military. Later, she married her own soldier and traveled with him as well. “Homemaker” was more than just a title for her because wherever her housing, she always managed to make it a home for her family. She worked mostly in banking later earning her license as a nurse, but more than anything else she loved her family, cooking her delicious cakes and baked goods for them. Karoline was not only the matriarch but the centerpiece of her family and was a Lutheran.
Karoline loved animals and all the beautiful things in God’s creation. She herself was beautiful and created beauty wherever she went. From flower arrangements to fancy decorated cakes, illustrations, and artwork, she was a gifted artist who loved to create and bless others with her gift. We rejoice at her entrance to eternal beauty and joy where she can continue to create alongside The Creator.
Survivors are her husband of forty-eight years, Tom Davis of Allenhurst; sons and daughters-in-law, Kurtis and Joanne Davis of Locust Grove and Jesse and Jennifer Davis of Allenhurst; brother, Karl Cottingham of Albuquerque, NM; six grandchildren also survive.
Visitation will be at the family residence, 10207 Tibet Hwy., SE, Allenhurst, GA beginning Saturday, December 26 from 4-8 PM and on Sunday, December 27 until 4 PM.
