Hinesville – Jonathan James Paulus, 47, passed away Sunday, February 9, 2025, at Memorial Health in Savannah. He was born in Baltimore, MD, and lived in different areas while serving in the US Army, with Ft. Stewart being his last duty station. After being discharged, he remained in the area, living a few years in Jesup and in Hinesville for the past 20 years. Jonathan received his degree from Armstrong Atlantic State and was a dental hygienist for Dr. Wilson in Brunswick for several years, and at Howard Family Dental in Hinesville for the past 20 years. He was a former member of the Jesup Lions Club, was a member of Hinesville Masonic Lodge #271, F & A.M., and was a loving son, husband, father, and grandfather.
Survivors are his wife of 24 years, Gina Paulus of Hinesville; daughters, Samantha Casper of Guyton and Elizabeth Lewis of Gloversville, NY; a son, Michael Borjas (Stephanie) of Columbia, SC; parents, John and Linda Paulus of Ludowici; sisters, Martha Kempton (Michael) of Clearwater, FL, Melissa Jones of Miami, FL, and Kimberly Paulus of Mechanicsburg, PA; grandchildren, Evan Martin and Elena Johnson; several nieces and nephews.
The celebration of Life services will be on Saturday, February 15 at 2 PM at Howard Funeral Home in Ludowici. The family will receive visitors from 1 -2 PM before the service.
