Johnnie Wilson

Darien – Johnnie Lee Wilson, 60, passed away Friday, July 19, 2024, in Savannah.  Born in Goshen, Indiana, he grew up in Tampa, FL, and moved to Darien in 1989.  He worked as a carpenter before his health failed and was an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and a hardy laugh.  His father, Don Wilson, preceded him in death.

Survivors are his mother, Shirley Wilson of Darien; sisters, Belinda Moody (Pete) of Darien and Katina Thomas (Barry) of Brunswick; brother, Donnie Wilson of Darien; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 23 at 12 PM at Darien Church of God with Rev. Tommy Whaley officiating.  Visitation will be from 11–12 PM before the service at the church.
