John G. Williamson

Townsend – John Gabriel Williamson, Jr., 56, died Monday, April 11, 2022, in Townsend.  Born in Mobile, AL, he lived in McIntosh County most of his life.  He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and shrimping and worked as a commercial fisherman most of his adult life. 

Survivors are his parents, Carolyn and Robert Dalby of Townsend; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sherry Hatch of St. Simons Island, Kelly and Lloyd Deverger of Townsend, and L. Mechelle and Ryan Alexander of Darien; step-brother, Robert T. Dalby and wife Ashley of Concord, NC; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be Friday, April 15 at 3 PM from Morgans Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Bill Brown officiating.
