Obituary
Valona – John S. Todd, 74, passed away Sunday, March 5, 2023, under the care of his family and Affinis Hospice. Born in Brunswick, he lived in McIntosh County all his life. A US Marine Corps veteran, he retired from the Army National Guard where he was a mechanic and an avid fisherman and shrimper. John was a devoted family man and a member and deacon at Northside Baptist Church in Darien. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Audrey Todd, brothers, Bobby Todd, Buddy Todd, and Charlie Todd, nieces, Robin Todd, and Kerri Holmes.
Survivors are his wife of 55 years, Anette B. Todd of Townsend; daughters and son-in-law, Katrina Reid of Ormond Beach, FL, Bobbie Jean Sprout and Sam of Orange Park, FL, and Billie Jo Todd of Townsend; sister and brother-in-law, Marilyn Lynn and Thomas of Townsend; brother, Fred Todd of Townsend; grandchildren, Richard Reid, Kaitlin Walker (James), and Richie Sprout; numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services and burial will be held by the family.
