Joanna Gail Hutchinson

Townsend – Joanna Gail Hutchinson of Shellman Bluff, 56, died peacefully at her home on September 3, 2020.  She had been battling multiple health issues over the past few years and now rests quietly with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  She was preceded in death by her mother and father, the late Annie Laura (McIntosh) and Eris Jellette (EJ) Hutchinson, and her sisters Karen Hutchinson and Laura (Hutchinson) Darsey.

Survivors are her brother Marty (Alice) Hutchinson of Bonaire, GA; niece and nephews, Amy Hutchinson of Perry, GA, Allan (Jamie) Hutchinson of Tucker, GA, Cody (Danielle) Darsey of Rochester, KY and Barry (Amy) Darsey of Marietta, GA.

Joanna was a very lovable and loving person and had a pure and caring heart.  She always seemed to have a positive attitude even in the toughest of times.  She was sweet to friends and strangers alike, helpful to those in need, and sincere in her love toward others.  Above all, she was an excellent caregiver and loyal friend.  Whether it was her own mother, her sister, other family members, or friends, she did not shy away from helping those in need when they needed it most.  Despite the troubles she sometimes faced - her exuberant laughter, love of conversation, and joy for life brought hope and happiness to those around her.  Rest in peace Joanna, we love you and will miss you.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, September 19th, at 11:00 a.m. at McIntosh Family Cemetery on U.S. Hwy 17 (GA-25).
