Ludowici – Joann Hall Stafford, 92, passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2026, under the care of her family and Hospice of South Georgia. She was born in Surrency, lived in Macon for several years, and in Long County most of her life. She was retired from the University System of Georgia as a Program Assistant and was a homemaker. She enjoyed yard sales, thrifting, and conversation along with sweets and her pets. She was a member of Ludowici Methodist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Stafford, sons, Glenn Stafford and Dale Stafford, and siblings, Jean Norris, Pete Hall, Sam Hall, Lawrence Hall, Quinton Hall, and Bud Hall.
Survivors are her son, Timmy Stafford of Ludowici; grandchildren, Brad Stafford (Laura), Bobby Stafford (Melissa), Justin Stafford, (fiancé, Celine), Perry Moore, and Krista Stafford; several great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 21, at 11 AM at Howard Funeral Home with Pastor Dale Bange officiating. Burial will follow in Jesup City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 -11 Am prior to services.
