Darien – Jean Alice Prescott, 87, passed away Sunday, December 25, 2022, at her home. Born in England, she migrated with her family to the US in December 1972, settling in McIntosh County where she would spend the next 50 years. Along with her husband, she owned and operated Prescott Marine in Darien for 30 years and was a homemaker known for her bread-making and crocheting. She was a member of Darien Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and was preceded in death by her husband, Barry Prescott.
Survivors are her daughters and sons-in-law, Alison Whitten and Keith of Cox and Becky Ramos and Mike of San Francisco, CA; son and daughter-in-law, Graham Prescott and Theresa of Darien; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Celebration of Life services will be Saturday, January 7 at 12 noon at Darien Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 500 McIntosh Road, Darien, GA. Reception immediately follows in the church fellowship hall.
